"I venture to suggest that patriotism is not a short and frenzied outburst

of emotion but the tranquil and steady dedication of a lifetime."

Have got to share this one...

This may not be for our area, but apparently the negative campaigning is rampant this year.
Watch this ad from the Democrat incumbent in the 121st Assembly District. Perhaps some of our area representatives and representative-wannabes should take a cue from this guy's campaign...

  1. Addie Jenne Russell announces 23-stop
    tour of River District
Addie Jenne Russell, candidate for the 118th River District announced today that she will be “On the Road in the River District” with a 23-stop community tour from Saturday morning through Monday night. Addie will be at designated stops to meet with voters from each part of the River District, talking to them about her plans to strengthen the North Country and listening to their concerns.
“I’ve been to every corner of the River District throughout this campaign. Our community tour this weekend will give me one more chance to talk to voters about the issues most important to them and let them know that if elected, I will work hard for them every day. I will continue to make rounds through the district regularly to ensure that I have the most up to date information about the issues affecting our towns, villages, businesses and affecting us personally. As your Assemblywoman, I will work hard to ensure that I am accessible and available to the entire River District. I look forward to seeing you this weekend and in the weeks and months ahead.”

  2. So STA, have you decided to vote in the 118th Assembly election? Now that she is finally coming to Waddington for an hour, do you think she will be able to convince you to vote for her? I think you are an intelligent lady and you know Cantwell has been working in SLC for months by going door to door, attending church dinners, pancake breakfasts, etc, etc, etc...small group sessions as oppose to one large rally at the last minute. Who do you think will give SLC more attention? I think Cantwell as he has proven it.
