"I venture to suggest that patriotism is not a short and frenzied outburst

of emotion but the tranquil and steady dedication of a lifetime."
Adlai E. Stevenson, American statesman (1900-1965).

Uh oh......

h/t to DD for this tidbit...

Andrew Halco who has debated [Gov. Palin] before had this to say, "I've debated Governor Palin more than two dozen times. And she's a master, not of facts, figures, or insightful policy recommendations, but at the fine art of the nonanswer, the glittering generality. Against such charms there is little Senator Biden, or anyone, can do."

Are our tin foil hats enough to protect us from her evil charms?
Should we install the Emergency Face Guard on them and insert the Bullshit-Reflector Earplugs?
Geez, I hope I am prepared for this...

  1. I viewed some of those debates. The videos are all over the net.

Sarah was allowed to use the "rude talkover", a technique that along with an actual understanding of her local dogcatcher politics made her look just OK.

This debate will be moderated and I don't expect that she will do any better than she did in the heavily edited TV productions.

Our problem is not so much her ignorance but John McCain's willingness to force it on the American people at a time when Republicans are so gullible.

Where oh where did you go?

Don't feel you have been bullied out of here. I never asked you to leave. Comment as you wish. We may not like it, but I am an avid supporter of free speech. We may argue and get nasty, but, well...it reminds me of my favorite toast when drinking with my friends:

Here's to you, and here's to me.
Friends, I'm sure, we'll always be.
Though, at times, we may disagree.
So, fuck you, and here's to me.

  4. Morning STA

Found you through NCTW online blogs. I honestly don't have an opinion and thought I had better learn more before I hit those polls to vote! Registered Republican here but I vote for who I feel is best for the job, not the party.

Thank you for visiting my blog! I'm sure its a nice diversion from politics! :) Hope you come back!
